Balaton cherries from Traverse City blended in and whirled throughout give this a beautiful shade of pink and an even more beautiful cherry flavor. We add a touch of blueberry for color. Now some background: black cherries are commonly known as sweet cherries, however, we love the brightness and coloration of the tart Balaton cherry on its own. In the ice cream, its flavor is subdued by the sweet cream so the flavor is rounded out. That’s why we think Black Cherry is an appropriate name! This flavor contains “almond extract,” however, it is derived from stone fruits so this flavor is naturally nut free!
